Challenge: ABCO HVCAR Supply and Solutions distributes HVAC and refrigeration systems and supplies to architects, engineers and contractors. Their customers also enroll at the Continuation Education facility to expand their knowledge of design, engineering and installation solutions. The challenge was to increase their online presence and their profitability and visibility at industry trade shows.
Solution: The designs of their B2B communications, websites and material for their trade show events and productions reflect the look and feel of consumer products instead of traditional industrial trade material. The strong typographical solutions, pastel colors and engaging visuals contributed to the increased sales of their products.
C.S.I. Complex Systems Inc.
Challenge: C.S.I. produces trade finance software solutions for US and global banks and other corporate clients in the import/export business. The client wanted a press kit with a pocket folder and inserts discussing information about their firm and its products.
Solution: Designed a press kit using an icon of a compass to represent a tool used to navigate international trading. My design included an antique and contemporary compass to demonstrate how easily C.S.I. can navigate the various conditions of international banking. A photographer was hired to shoot the cover of the pocket folder. Typography is corporate and elegant. The design of the press kit is clean and corporate.

Travel Dynamics/Classical Cruises
Challenge: This cruise ship company sponsors international cruises with educational programs aboard their small ships. Their passengers are not the average sightseers since they are interested in lifelong learning. The tours discuss the culture, history, art, flora and geology of the destination. Many of the lecturers are world-class educators and scholars such as Marvin Kalb, Peter Hillary and Paul Volcker.
Solution: The design of the press kit had a pocket folder and inserts relating to the content of each cruise. I used both traditional and digital techniques to bridge the gap between the past and present. I bought an old world map, cut out the water sections and placed the map on top of a sheet of handmade green paper. The digital airbrushed look of the maps mimicked the motion of water. Infographics were created to display location and names of cabins and rooms on cruise ship.
